Before i tell you my adventure, i would like to clarify that i was supposed to meet my best friend there and shared this adventure with him. It was supposed to be a little getaway from all the hassle we both faced but little did i know, he bailed out on me at the very last minute. But that's OK, i wouldn't mind having a solo trip, exploring Thailand. I was mad at first but i kinda stumbled upon a nice quote on the internet that convinces me to go on this solo adventure.

Mind you that this trip was not well planned. I only had one ticket out from Chiang Mai to Bangkok. I was pretty nervous at first but i thought to myself, if I'm not doing it now, when am i going to do it? My 4-day trip turned to 15 days of tranquility. The first 4 days i spent it in Bangkok, doing what most tourists do - visit some of the favorite tourist spots such as Grand Palace, Siam Square, Paragon, and MBK. (Brunei like them shopping malls! Haha!). The visit to the Grand Palace amazed me as i was surrounded by exquisite architectures and shiny gold rimming. The huge paintings on the walls made me glance twice. The details on the building was really worth the time. Although the entrance was 500 baht, money was well spent here. After the visit, i went to meet my friends at the mall known to most Bruneians, the MBK. it was this huge mall that wasn't really interesting. Not trying to be prude but most of it are low quality with a high price. I seriously don't know what the hassle is about. We then moved to Siam Square and Paragon to do a little bit of shopping. Oh boy, did we shop. At night, we went to Nana Street to eat some dinner. While walking, i was really surprised with the stalls that sells sex toys and DVD porn out in the open. Mind you that, that was in Arab Street. ARAB! SHOCKER!

After dinner, we went on our separate ways - i went back to my hotel in Khaosan district. Khaosan district is famous for being filled with tourists because of its location to nearby clubs and pubs. I was staying in the Khaosan Palace Inn and it only took me one minute to swamp by tourists thats looking for a drink or two. The music was pumping, people were dancing in the streets and girls be like flirting. Surprisingly, i tried something new on this trip. Meeting new random people and party it up. Till like at 4am.

The next day, i went to Kanchanaburi to meet the elephants. I was accompanied by Rozie who happens to be interested in the same thing: riding them ellie. It was quite far from Bangkok where it took us 3 hours to reach. Before reaching to the elephant sanctuary, we made a pit stop for lunch and a 20 mins visit to the world war 2 museum and that famous bridge that got bombed during the WW2. These were included in our 1500 baht package. I love weird things so i think this was also worth my money.

The next day was my free day where I went to central world to do a bit of shopping on my own. I also went to this place called Major Ratchayothin, 20 mins away from town. the reason i went here was to find this 2553 indie local brand who i am currently obsessed with. The bag costs around 1500 baht which didn't take me long to decide in buying. I love how clean their design is. Unfortunately, i didnt have pictures of it but you could check em out in instagram and facebook.

The next day was hanging out by the pool with some relaxing song, just chilling. I was really bored with Bangkok and decided to fly to Krabi for 4 days and spent 2 days in Phi Phi Island. Phi Phi island was one of the major hits in my list. The place was gorgeous, blue water, white sands and soft music in the air. As i arrived in the island of half naked people, i thought to myself, damn i wish i was here with my partner. I recommend you to go here in a big group or with your love ones. Since im alone, i looked really ridiculous with all the couples im having tours with. I remember the look on their faces when i told them i was alone and travelling solo. I was expecting the pity look but in fact they were pretty jealous as they don't have the guts to do it. So, by then, i was pretty confident with myself and enjoying every bits of it. I took a half day tour around a few island which i forgot the names except for Maya Bay. Maya Bay was famous for the scenes that was taken from The Beach, starring Leonardo DiCaprio. I was pretty bumped upon reaching there as it was on my first list of 'to-go places'. that was it. It didn't look like in the postcards maybe because the weather wasn't right and it was filled with a lot of boats and people. One of the things i love about this trip was i get to swim with the fishies.

I also got the chance to explore the island and was amazed with how amazing it is. Well, i did eat a lot there but mostly trying its Italian food. I also did try some in Krabi. Krabi was a place for me to unwind and tone down a bit. I cant stop reliving the moment, where i just lay down by the beach and stare into the sunset (and sunrise). Imagine how tanned i was.. it was more of a burnt than tanned. Haha! I also went to Luna Beach for a full moon party but too bad, my phone died that night so i wasn't able to take some pictures. I was also invited to go to Fox Bar, which is self explanatory. Haha! #yolo

I went back to Bangkok to go to places i didn't get to on my first trip. Terminal 21, a mall that is subdivided into different themes mainly on countries or cultures like the first floor is Japan, then the second was London and etc. It was pretty interesting as each floor is decorated with their iconic monument like Paris has its Eiffel tower, japan for its sushi, London for its double decker...you get the idea..Asiatique is simply gorgeous as they turned old warehouse into a theme parkish (sort of). There are 7 buildings; one for restaurants, gifts, knick knacks, shows and etc. This is where the Calypso show is and the infamous Muay Thai show. I didn't get the change to watch both as i arrived 10 minutes after the show starts. It costs around 1900 baht, if I'm not mistaken. How did i get there? It was just a BTS and a boat ride away. The boat ride's free, so no need to worry. Soi cowboy and Silom was the most funny experience but im not gonna go in depth in it but i have to tell you this..id prefer Silom *wink*

Lastly, the famous open air mall named Chatuchak. 3 words to describe this; huge, hot and aight.
