Whilst being abroad, you gotta go and do something that you don't normally do in your country. Something that's unnecessary yet touristy to fulfill the necessities while being abroad. One of the things i love to do was going on a visit to the zoo. So, i met this one guy somewhere who happens to be a tour guide. What do you do once you know someone who knows places and be able to bring to these places for free. Well before i tell you this, i might omit some information as its unnecessary for you to know.
The day started at 9am as he picked me up from my place to go to a place called 'Mae Rim'. It is a place where you can find anything from Zoo to ATV and even farms. Our first agenda was to go to the Tiger Kingdom. This was my first priority as I fell in love looking at baby tigers in the ad at the back of the Song Teaw. Upon arrival, i glanced to the prices of different sizes of tigers available, and the most expensive one was the small tigers, which costs around 600+ baht. I immediately chose that as the bigger ones look scary to take pics with, although they are in deep sleep. I was so lucky that day as there were not much people or i was freakishly early so the queue was really quick. As I entered the gate, I was filled with excitement. I was ushered to the baby tigers cage, and were asked to take off my shoes and wash my hands. Once I'm done, I was asked to read some instruction of the Do's and Dont's when being inside the cage. I wasn't really reading as I saw some of the tigers were already running around playing with joy. I was more excited than I was. The tigers were so cute and was very active..well, some of them are. It was a magical moment. The keeper even made my experience fun as he joked and scared me while I was in the cage. I was expecting to hear some roar, but it was more of a tskk and grrr... ha-ha! Cute description, Shafiee! I was given an hour to be in that pen. Oh, I also bought some pictures from them, which you can see as follows;
The next one was snake farm, i wasn't much of a fan, but I was loving the snow. It was more audience involvement than I thought it would be. I was so scary I almost peed myself when that guy came up to me and wanted to put the snakes into my pants. I kept a brave face and slowly pushing his hands away from me as everyone watches me in anticipation. I was going to scream, but then again, I prefer to be more compose than that one girl who ran around the audience crying for help ha-ha! It was interesting.
The other show i was entertained with was the one at the Monkey training school. It was more of a hands-on than just sitting there and watch. The monkeys did everything you could imagine of, from picking a number you want to riding a bicycle and even, giving that Sawadeekap hand gestures. It was the cutest thing ever. I was really happy to take some pictures of/with them.
Another place i visited was the Elephant camp. By this time my gout on my left leg was acting up but i had to suck it up as i am going to enjoy the moments and not be a bitch about it. We did everything from feeding the elephants to watching an amazingly funny show and also to watching them poop while taking a bath. I was more amazed by how big and green their poops are and and ....how splashier when they peed. It was like waterfall. Damn! When feeding the elephants, i had the chance to take some pictures with them and oh how they sucked my face was not the action i imagined i was getting. But it was after all the only action i got in Chiang Mai haha.
The Strawberry farm was not as exciting as summer hits Chiang Mai so i didn't see much of the strawberries and everything was almost dried up. Nevertheless, it was pretty. But the orchid garden was much more prettier as you can be big orchids everywhere and butterflies. Oh such a romantic place...i have to say it was very movie-like place. I let u be the judge of that..
